Celtic are set to make a fresh move for Aston Villa striker Libor Kozak, according to reports south of the border.
The Hoops tried to sign the forward in the summer and agreed terms with Villa before Kozak backed out of the move.
However, the Birmingham Mail report Celtic boss Ronny Deila travelled to Villa Park yesterday to watch the striker in action for Villa’s under-21s side against Derby County.
The striker certainly didn’t disappoint – scoring both of the Villa’s goals in a 2-1 victory and Celtic are now expected to make a formal move to get their man.
Kozak could replace forward Anthony Stokes who is expected to leave Celtic Park in January after a series of misdemeanours which have seen him fall out of favour with Deila.
Despite knocking back a move to Glasgow in the summer, Kozak may be in favour of a January move north.
The forward has struggled to break into the Villa team this season, playing just 48 minutes against Notts County in the League Cup.
His lack of club action throws his place in the Czech Republic squad into doubt and a move to Celtic and regular game time action could boost the 26-year-old’s chances of going to France for Euro 2016.
