Ross County have lost five of their last six league games, but defender Richard Foster claims there has been no loss of confidence among his team-mates.
Following a bright start to the campaign, County’s form has tumbled, with the Dingwall side falling to their latest defeat last Saturday in a 3-2 defeat by St Johnstone.
Elgin-born Foster, who began his career with Aberdeen before moves to English club Bristol City and then Rangers, wants the Staggies to cut out the defensive errors he blames for the loss of form.
But the promise County have shown in attack makes Foster confident of a return to winning ways at Hamilton Accies on Saturday.
He said: “It has not affected us that much. We still know we’re playing well in games and that’s probably the most important thing.
“If we start playing poorly and not creating chances, that’s a much bigger problem. At the moment we’re still playing well enough and we’re creating chances. We’re just not taking them, coupled with the fact we’re giving away soft goals.
“Most importantly we need to tighten up at the back, but once we do that our attacking play has never really been an issue.
“Earlier in the season we were unbeaten in seven games. We know we’re capable of that and the manager has got confidence in us and he knows we’re capable. We need to get back to being hard to beat and carrying a threat in attack.
“There’s not a better time to start than against Hamilton on Saturday.”
