Stewart Murdoch and Liam Boyce struck late as Ross County came from behind to defeat Hamilton Accies 3-1 at New Douglas Park.
Gramoz Kurtaj had given Hamilton a slender half-time advantage which was cancelled out by Craig Curran just before the hour mark.
The game looked destined for a draw but two goals in the final three minutes from Murdoch and Boyce earned County their second away win of the season.
The result moves the Staggies above Hamilton and into fifth place.
Having lost five times in six matches, Ross County manager Jim McIntyre made five changes as they looked to get back to winning ways.
Scott Fox made his first start in goal since the start of October following an ankle injury, while Chris Robertson, Raffale de Vita, Jonathan Franks and Jamie Reckord were also included.
Hamilton were a point better off than the Staggies prior to kick off but had not won on their own patch since September.
The Accies were keen to test the returning Fox as early as possible but the former Partick stopper passed his first test, bravely punching away a dangerous Dougie Imrie cross under pressure from Carlton Morris.
It was a rare moment of excitement in a dull start to proceedings although Ziggy Gordon livened up matters by almost diverting a Jackson Irvine cross beyond his own goalkeeper.
But it was the hosts who made the breakthrough after 27 minutes though a well-worked move. Former Caley Thistle player Imrie split the County defence open with a floated diagonal pass to Morris who crossed for Kurtaj to turn the ball home from close range.
County almost restored parity three minutes before the break when de Vita should have found the target from a Richard Foster cross but headed wide.
They went even closer within eight minutes of the restart when a powerful Martin Woods effort was tipped over and Andrew Davies’ downward header from the resulting corner was cleared off the line.
The County equaliser came after 58 minutes when Irvine smashed the ball off the crossbar and Curran snaffled up the rebound to shoot low beyond Michael McGovern.
It looked as if the game was heading for a draw but with three minutes remaining Staggies substitute Murdoch blasted the ball home from close range with the aid of the crossbar to put the visitors on the cusp of victory.
And Boyce made sure of the win in the final minute when his deflected shot found the back of the net after some fine wing play from Michael Gardyne.
