We may not be seeing many multi-million pound transfers in Scotland but the SPFL’s January window has certainly kicked into action.
Yesterday Celtic were linked with five players, today it looks like a Hoops striker is nearing the Parkhead exit.
Aberdeen are looking to add to their forward options, while Dundee have signed a new defender  and a number of other clubs are looking to strengthen their squads while also trying to hold onto their star men.

- Aberdeen are reportedly looking to sign highly rated Southampton forward Sam Gallagher on loan.
The Saints today ended the 20-year-old’s loan spell at MK Dons following a lack of game time. (Daily Mail)
- Inverness Caley Thistle have contacted Celtic in a bid to take out of favour striker Anthony Stokes on loan.
Caley Thistle boss John Hughes previously worked with the forward at Falkirk and Hibs.
- John Hughes is also looking to strengthen his midfield with the addition of Partick Thistle midfielder Abdul Osman on a pre-contract deal. (Daily Express)
- Dani Lopez is set to leave Caley Thistle this month and return to Spain.
- Earlier reports that Celtic could try to bring Aiden McGeady back to Parkhead on loan appear to be dead with the news that Everton will only allow the winger to leave on a permanent basis, rather than a loan. (Various)
- Celtic defender Efe Ambrose could be on the move this month with super rich Chinese side Shanghai SIPG, managed by Sven Goran Eriksson, said to be considering a move for the Nigerian. (Daily Mail)

- St Johnstone striker Michael O’Halloran is reportedly being courted by a number of clubs, including English Premier League side Swansea City who could make an offer this month. (Daily Express)
- Livingston could beat Dumbarton to the loan signing of Rangers midfielder Tom Walsh, 19. (Daily Record)
- Chelsea striker Islam Feruz, 20, could be set for another loan move – this time to the English Premier League, with Swansea and Bournemouth believed to be interested, as well as Championship promotion hopefuls Derby. (Daily Record)
