Another day of transfer window fun brings with it a host of new stories and today those stories are largely dominated by Celtic, Rangers and Hibs.
Celtic’s search for a new striker could see them return to a player who Neil Lennon tried to bring to Parkhead during his time in charge, while both Hibs and Rangers have been linked with a number of moves.
Here’s a look at today’s top transfer tales…
- Celtic have been linked with a move for Iceland striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson.
Neil Lennon reportedly wanted to sign the forward for the Hoops during his time at Parkhead, however was unable to secure the deal and the striker joined forward moved from Ajax to Nantes in the summer.
Sigthorsson has struggled to establish himself in France and it is believed he would be allowed to move this month for £2.5 million. (Various)
- Sporting Lisbon have told Celtic it would cost them £1million to take Carlos Mane on loan.
The Hoops reportedly face competition from Bournemouth, Monaco, Marseille and Legia Warsaw to sign the 21-year-old. (Scottish Sun)
- Wolves are interested in signing Hibs striker Jason Cummings.
The Championship side lost their star striker over the weekend when Benik Afobe moved to Premier League side Bournemouth for £10million and now they are looking for Cummings to replace the 22-year-old. (Sky Sports)
- While one striker could be leaving Hibs, another could be joining the Easter Road side with Anthony Stokes said to be keen on a return to the capital, despite interest from his former boss John Hughes at Caley Thistle. (Scottish Sun)
- Hibs defender Jordon Forster is a wanted man, with Plymouth currently leading the race to sign the defender on loan.
St Mirren, Kilmarnock and Dundee United are reportedly looking to keep Forster in Scotland. (Various)
- Brentford have reportedly rejected Toumani Diagouraga’s transfer request.
Last week Rangers had a bid rejected for the midfielder who in turn handed in a transfer request in a bid to speed up his bid to be reunited with his former boss, Mark Warburton, however reports today suggest Brentford have rejected that request.
- Rangers are reportedly keen on signing Barnet youngster Matty Stevens.
Swansea have had a bid rejected for the 17-year-old attacker. (Get West London)
- Rangers have joined the growing list of clubs said to be interested in signing St Johnstone’s Michael O’Halloran.
Rangers have sent scouts to watch the 25-year-old attacker who starred against the Ibrox giants earlier this season and could make a move this month. (Scottish Sun)
