Another transfer window means another Dundee United player linked with a big move. Gauld, Robertson, Armstrong, Mackay-Steven, Ciftci… Could Spittal be the latest name to add to that list?
Elsewhere, Celtic and Rangers players have both been linked with moves to the English Championship, while a graduate from the Barcelona youth academy could be on his way to the Scottish Premiership.

- Everton manager Roberto Martinez has told former Celtic winger Aiden McGeady he is free to leave the club on loan.
Celtic have been linked with the player throughout the window and Martinez confirmed that three clubs have made enquiries about the 29-year-old who is set to leave on loan in order to secure regular football before Euro 2016 next summer.
- On form Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic is attracting interest from England with Leeds United said to be considering a £1million offer for the Australian. (Yorkshire Post)
- Leeds are also looking north of the border to strengthen in the goalkeeping department and are considering a move for Aberdeen goalkeeper Danny Rogers.
The Irishman is currently on loan at Falkirk and is out of contract at the end of the season. (Various)
- While an English Championship side are interested in a Celtic midfielder, the Parkhead club are looking at a duo from an English League One side.
Romaine Sawyers and Tom Bradshaw have impressed for Walsall this season and Hoops representatives watched the pair in FA Cup action on Saturday. (Various)
- Midfielder Liam Grimshaw who has been on loan at Motherwell has had a busy day today – he has been recalled by parent club Manchester United and now joined Preston.
- Hull City are interested in signing Dundee United midfielder Blair Spittal, 20.
Should Spittal head to Hull he would be following in the career path of Andy Robertson who also started at Queen’s Park before joining Dundee United and then moving onto Hull. (The Courier)
- English Championship sides Reading and Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing Rangers top scorer Martyn Waghorn.
Reading are looking to replace Nick Blackman who joined Derby last week, while Wednesday missed out with their own bid to sign Blackman and are still looking to strengthen in their bid to reach the play-offs. (The Times)
- Rangers are still hoping to push through deals for Brentford midfielder Toumani Diagouraga and St Johnstone striker Michael O’Halloran, despite neither club wanting to sell their star men. (Daily Record)
- Rangers are reportedly considering a move for QPR midfielder Massimo Luongo.
The 23-year-old Australian international has made 16 appearances for the English Championship side this season. (SBS)
- Barcelona youth academy graduate Josue Currais Prieto has joined St Johnstone on trial.
The midfielder was most recently with Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League and, if he impresses during his trial spell, he could pen a permanent deal with the Perth club. (The Courier)
