Earlier this week it was reported that Celtic were looking to sign a Manchester City youngster, today it appears they are in the market for a second City player.

- Alan Archibald has threatened to quit Partick Thistle if Aberdeen sign his key midfielder Stuart Bannigan in the January transfer window. Archibald has valued the midfielder at £1million and said: “He will not be going – or I’ll be going – it’s as simple as that.” (Press and Journal)
- Ross County are considering a move for former Leicester and Tranmere striker Iain Hume.

- Celtic are in talks with Manchester City over deals to bring highly rated youngsters Patrick Roberts and Bersant Celina to Parkhead on loan.

- Scotland forward Steven Naismith is on the verge of moving from Everton to another Premier League club but Toffees boss Roberto Martinez insists it is not Swansea, who yesterday expressed an interest in the 29-year-old. (Sky Sports)
