Danish defender Erik Sviatchenko is reportedly in Glasgow confirming the final details of his £2million move to Celtic.
The Hoops have been chasing the 24-year-old FC Midtjylland centre-half since Virgil van Dijk left Parkhead for Southampton during the summer.
English sides Stoke, West Brom, Sunderland and Norwich have all been linked with the defender, as well as Bundesliga duo Hamburg and Stuttgart, however, he arrived in Glasgow this morning for his Parkhead medical.
When asked about Sviatchenko’s future, the defender’s agent Allan Bak Jensen told TV 2 SPORT: “I’m not in Denmark right now, but obviously can not say where I am. I expect that there is something in place very soon.”
Sviatchenko, is under contract at the Danish club until 2017 and the Hoops are expected to pay a fee between £1.5-2million to secure his services.
