Shay Logan: Ronny Deila title taunt won’t derail Dons challenge

Aberdeen defender Shay Logan insists he and his Reds team-mates are happy to do their talking on the pitch.

The Dons moved to within three points of leaders Celtic thanks to their 3-2 win at Ross County on Sunday.

The victory comes after Celtic manager Ronny Deila taunted Derek McInnes’ players with claims the men from Pittodrie lack belief they can win the Premiership title.

But Logan believes his side’s resilience in coming from a goal behind and a man down after Mark Reynolds’s 25th-minute dismissal speaks volumes about the belief in the Aberdeen squad.

Logan, who scored twice in the five-goal thriller, said: “We are doing our talking on the park. We don’t need to say anything. It’s irrelevant.

“The manager doesn’t let us get too far ahead of ourselves. We’ll treat the last 16 games in the same way and we will try to win games.

“We’ll let other people say what we want, we’ll focus on ourselves. I can’t tell the future. I don’t know what will happen tomorrow. But with team performances like the one against Ross County it only helps going in to the next game.”
