Strathspey Thistle forward Josh Peters is set to go on trial with Scottish Championship club Hibernian.
The 19-year-old Grantown-based student, who has been watched by Raith Rovers and Ross County, was also on trial with Premiership side Hamilton Accies last month.
Strathspey manager Brian Grant believes the youngster, who has scored 13 goals for the Jags this term, can still improve.
He said: “Josh has done really well but he still has a few rough edges to iron out in his game.
“It is good news for him that there seems to be a lot of interest from Scottish league clubs. Hibs have made an approach to take Josh down to Easter Road on trial, although no date has yet been set for him to go to Edinburgh.
“One day he may be rubbing shoulders with Anthony Stokes for the Hibees.”
