Rangers are set to sign Hearts winger Billy King on loan.
The Jambos attacker is believed to currently be undergoing a medical with the Championship side ahead of completing the move.
Rangers boss Mark Warburton has been keen to strengthen his squad this month but has been unable to complete deals for top targets Michael O’Halloran and Toumani Diagouraga.
Diagouraga has now signed for Leeds United, while the signing of winger King from Hearts could be seen as an admission of defeat in the club’s attempts to prize O’Halloran from St Johnstone.
King has seen his first team chances at Tynecastle increased recently due to injuries picked up by Jamie Walker and, more recently, Sam Nicholson.
King, 21, has scored two goals in 20 games for the Jambos this season.
