Hearts winger Billy King has been pictured arriving at Rangers training base Murray Park ahead of completing his move from the Jambos.
King is expected to join the Gers later this evening on loan until the end of the season.
Rangers boss Mark Warburton has been keen to strengthen his squad this month but has been unable to complete deals for top targets Michael O’Halloran and Toumani Diagouraga.
Diagouraga has now signed for Leeds United, while the signing of winger King from Hearts could be seen as an admission of defeat in the club’s attempts to prize O’Halloran from St Johnstone.
King has seen his first team chances at Tynecastle increased recently due to injuries picked up by Jamie Walker and, more recently, Sam Nicholson.
King, 21, has scored two goals in 20 games for the Jambos this season.
