Celtic have reportedly agreed terms on a deal to sign highly rated Manchester City youngster Patrick Roberts.
The Hoops were offered the 18-year-old on a loan deal until the end of the season, however, Ronny Deila wanted the player on an 18-month deal and, according to SunSport Online, the Parkhead club have now got the deal they were looking for.
Roberts is expected in Scotland over the weekend to watch his new team mates in action against Ross County and put the finishing touches to the deal which will see him move from Manchester to Parkhead until summer 2017.
The highly rated 18-year-old joined City from Fulham for £11million last summer but has only made three first team appearances this season and manager Manuel Pellegrini is keen for him to move out on loan to gain experience.
Roberts would become the Hoops’ second signing of the window following the £1.5million capture of defender Erik Sviatchenko from FC Midtjylland.
