Rangers have completed the signing of attacker Michael O’Halloran from St Johnstone.

The 25-year-old Glaswegian has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract after Rangers succeeded with a third bid understood to be worth a potential £500,000.

Hearts signed former Scotland midfielder Don Cowie on a contract until 2018 after the 32-year-old was released by Wigan Athletic, and loaned Morgaro Gomis to Motherwell until the end of the campaign.

Osman Sow is also understood to be on his way out of Tynecastle amid reports that a Chinese club had a £1million-plus bid accepted for a player who is out of contract in the summer.

Robbie Neilson has further bolstered his squad this January transfer window with the loan capture of Nigerian forward Abiola Dauda.

The 27-year-old arrives from Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on loan until the end of the season.

Aberdeen loaned out development league players Lukas Culjak and Jamie Henry to Angus clubs.

Central defender Culjak, 19, has joined League 1 side Brechin City for the remainder of the season while midfielder Henry, 18, will play for Arbroath in League 2.

Both players will continue to play for Paul Sheerin’s young Dons in the SPFL Development League.
