Aberdeen midfielder Jonny Hayes has been included in the Republic of Ireland’s provisional squad for this month’s friendlies against Switzerland and Slovakia.

The Irish take on Switzerland on March 25 and Slovakia four days later at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

The squad will be shortened ahead of the team meeting up on March 20.

Ireland manager Martin O’Neill said: “The countdown to Euro 2016 starts now for us and we look forward to welcoming both Switzerland and Slovakia to Aviva Stadium for what will be two very important games for us.
