Aberdeen have successfully appealed Derek McInnes’ one-game touchline ban.
The Dons manager was cited by the SFA compliance officer after being sent to the stands during this month’s 1-0 win against Dundee United at Tannadice but refused the offer of a one-match touchline ban.
McInnes was sent to the stand by referee Bobby Madden on the advice of fourth official Barry Cook 37 minutes into the match.
The Aberdeen manager, who later apologised to the officials, was furious after a Paul Dixon own goal was ruled out and Graeme Shinnie was booked for simulation.
McInnes was alleged to have breached Rule 203 with the charge stating that: “On or around the 37th minute of the match you committed misconduct and used offensive, abusing and insulting language towards the match officials.”
But at today’s SFA hearing at Hampden in front of an independent panel the sanction was reduced to a one-match suspended ban until the end of the season.
