Celtic are reportedly considering a move for Watford forward Obbi Oulare.
The highly rated 20-year-old Belgian joined the Hornets from FC Bruges at the start of the season but has been restricted to just three appearances for the Premier League side due to the form of front two Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo.
The 6ft 5″ striker has represented Belgium at under-18, under-19 and under-21 level and signed for Watford in a £6million deal after scoring nine goals in 39 appearances for Bruges.
Celtic scouts were in attendance to watch the striker on Monday night as Watford under-21s played their Bolton Wanderers counterparts.
Oulare failed to find the net and was replaced midway through the second half after taking a knock to his jaw.
Celtic have heavily relied on Leigh Griffiths up front this season. The 25-year-old has netted 37 goals this season but Celtic’s other forward options have failed to impress.
Nadir Ciftci, Stefan Scepovic and Anthony Stokes have been farmed out on loan, while journeymen signings Carlton Cole and Colin Kazim-Richards have failed to score a league goal between them.
