Celtic are looking to sign highly rated Fulham midfielder Emerson Hyndman.
The 20-year-old American has drawn the attention of a number of top European clubs, with the Parkhead side now battling European giants AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund for his signature.
Hyndman can play in either defence or midfield but will leave Fulham this summer after allowing his contract to run down.
Clubs in England would need to pay millions in compensation due to his age but the Hoops or any other European side would only need to pay a fraction of the price – expected to be around £200,000.
Hyndman made 17 appearances for Fulham this season, scoring one goal, while last season the American cap played alongside Celtic loanee Patrick Roberts in the Fulham first team.
