Rangers target Joey Barton has taken to social media to announce that he has made his decision on where his future lies.
The midfielder has been in talks with the Ibrox side over a move to Scotland and last week he visited the Rangers facilities for a tour and face-to-face talks with Gers boss Mark Warburton.
Burnley captain Barton, who was recently named in the Championship team of the year, has also been offered a new deal to guide the Clarets into the Premier League next season but it is believed Barton is keen on the longer contract on offer from Rangers.
After spending time weighing up his options, Barton today took to Twitter to announce that his “tough decision” has now been made, with the 33-year-old signing off the tweet with the hashtag #rollupandspendyourlastdime, a lyric of the song Penny Arcade, a song sang every week by the Rangers faithful.

After helping Burnley secure promotion, Barton insisted his decision on whether to stay at Turf Moor or move on would not be financial.
The former Manchester City, Newcastle United and Marseille man said: “The club made me an offer about six weeks ago and I said ‘look, it’s far too late in the season, my mind is winning on the Championship, let’s get over the line, pat ourselves on the back and then sit down’.
“There’s a desire for me to be here, that hasn’t changed, but at 33, stroke 34, I don’t know whether I want to stay for a year, that’s the reality of it.
“We’ll sit down and negotiate, I’d like to stay here longer.
“At this stage of my career it’s not financial, there’s no financial angle for me, I just want a bit of stability.
“My eldest child is about to start school so I want to put some roots down somewhere.
“If Burnley want me here great, if not then I’m summising that there’ll be one or two options.”
Today’s tweet follows a series of cryptic tweets yesterday which also suggested Barton was on his way to Ibrox.

Earlier this month the Gers completed a deal to sign tough tackling central midfielder Jordan Rossiter, 19, from Liverpool.
Rossiter became the third player to agree to join the Gers this summer after Accrington Stanley duo Josh Windass and Matt Crooks signed pre-contract deals.
While Warburton is happy with the quality of player he has been able to sign so far, he is still looking to add experience to his squad and England cap Barton would certainly bring that.
