Today may have been light on signed contracts but there has been no shortage of rumours and bizarre transfer news.

From superstar Brazilians to a European Championship talisman, the SPFL attracts some pretty exciting names – although not all of them actually end up making the big move.

And Finally…

Ronaldo to Rangers? It almost happened. No, really! Rangers were in for the Brazillian star in 1997 when he was looking to leave Barcelona.

The Ibrox side were willing to offer a staggering £20million to land the Samba superstar and were prepared to table a massive contract that would only require him to play in Champions League games.

In the end, Inter were first to match his release clause and were the ones to bring him in. What a shame.
