- Celtic are set to go right to the wire on the final day before Champions League registrations need to be made. Brendan Rodgers is understood to be chasing Michel Vorm, Jerry St Juste and Paddy McNair. (Various)
- Former Rangers defender Frank de Boer is set to become the new manager of Inter Milan after Roberto Mancini stepped down from the role. (Daily Record)
- Hearts boss Robbie Neilson is set to complete the signing of defender Krystian Nowak on a one-year-deal. (Various)
- However Neilson expressed surprise to see Celtic match-winner Scott Sinclair involved in Sunday’s game at Tynecastle after the winger signed on Saturday, with the hosts having failed to register defender Krystian Nowak in time. “We were told the SFA shuts at 5pm on a Friday,” he said. South of the Border
- Chievo Verona have made an offer to sign Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, with reports suggesting that discussion have already taken place. (Gazzetta dello Sport)
- Christian Benteke’s agent has confirmed Liverpool have yet to receive any new offers for the Belgium striker, but the 25-year-old hopes to leave Anfield before the end of the transfer window. (Guardian)
- Everton have been angered by what they see as Chelsea’s attempts to unsettle striker Romelu Lukaku, with the Blues yet to bid for the 23-year-old. (Liverpool Echo)
- Arsenal defender Gabriel, 25, was carried off against Manchester City in Gothenburg, leaving the Gunners without a fully fit senior centre half for the start of the season, which could intensify their attempts to land £40m-rated Valencia centre back Shkodran Mustafi. (Daily Mail)
- France defender Eliaquim Mangala, 25, and Wilfried Bony, 27, appear to be edging towards the exit at Manchester City after being left at home for the game with Arsenal in Gothenburg. (Manchester Evening News)
