Dons hero Alex McLeish is to be inducted into the Aberdeen FC Hall of Fame.
The ex-Scotland boss played as a defender for the Dons during the 1980s and 1990s and went on the make almost 700 appearances during his career.
Speaking of his pride at being inducted in celebration of his achievements with the club, McLeish said: “The memories here will last forever. It was quite an incredible part of my journey in football.
“Within three years we had won the league and I was seeing grown men cry.
“Nothing compares with the Bayern Munich night, the atmosphere was one that had never been experienced at Pittodrie before.
“This is an accolade that makes me proud but also realise that so many people have had happiness from Aberdeen Football Club, particularly in that era.”
The Hall of Fame was established in 2004 and re-launched last year with the induction of Sir Alex Ferguson.
The 2016 Hall of Fame evening will take place on Saturday, November 12.
