Aberdeen star Niall McGinn has reportedly been offered a three-year deal by a rival Scottish Premiership side.
The Northern Ireland international is free to speak to other teams with his contract set to expire in the summer and Hearts are understood to have approached the forward.
The 29-year-old has also attracted interest from English clubs and the Tynecastle side would face competition for his signature.
However, Dons boss Derek McInnes is said to be keen to keep the former Celtic man at Pittodrie, despite him turning down earlier approaches to agree a new deal.
McGinn is only one of a number of key players with contracts expiring in the summer.
He is one of five first team regulars – along with skipper Ryan Jack, Ash Taylor, Andrew Considine and Peter Pawlett – who are now free to talk to other clubs.
