Aberdeen defender Andy Considine has emerged as a transfer target for Rangers.
The 29-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract at Pittodrie and was awarded a testimonial in March 2015, is in talks with the Reds about extending his stay at Pittodrie.
Considine has been with the Dons for 12 years but the interest from Rangers will strengthen the Aberdonian’s hand in any negotiations.
Considine is one of several Pittodrie first-team regulars whose contracts expire in the summer.
Hearts are interested in Niall McGinn, while Ashton Taylor, Peter Pawlett and captain Ryan Jack will also be free agents at the end of the season.
