Jonny Hayes and Graeme Shinnie scored the goals as Aberdeen completed their mid-season tour of Dubai with a comfortable 2-1 win against Uzbekistan side Bunyodkor.
The Dons were in complete control from the opening minute and scored the opening goal immediately when Shinnie raced through from midfield and squared for Hayes to score.
Bunyodkor levelled 10 minutes before the break when Javokhir Esankulov controlled the ball on the edge of the box and fired low past Joe Lewis in the Aberdeen goal.
The Dons were not to be denied, however, and they secured the friendly win when Shinnie netted with a composed driven volley.
Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes was pleased to come through the game with no injuries and revealed there has been no further contact from Cardiff since the club rejected a £500,000 bid on Thursday evening.
He said: “It was a great workout and a good way to end the week. We’ve not heard any more from Cardiff about Jonny Hayes.”
