Aberdeen defender Shay Logan believes the Dons have already put together a fine season, but would love to top it off by winning the Scottish Cup.
Derek McInnes’ side finished second in the Scottish Premiership for the third year on the trot and is preparing for a second cup final of the season.
The Dons will be hoping to make a better fist of it this time around following November’s 3-0 loss to the Hoops in the League Cup final.
A victory against Brendan Rodgers’ side would earn the Dons a first Scottish Cup success since 1990 and Logan believes they have enough quality players to make it happen.
He said: “If someone offered us second spot and two cup finals at the start of the season, we would have had to be crazy to turn that down.
“With the budget Celtic have, it was always going to be very difficult to beat them over the season.
“We would have had to have had a very special season. They have been outstanding. They are a very good team with a good manager. I voted for Scott Sinclair in the PFA awards as he has added a bit of quality.
“Celtic will be favourites for the cup final, but you just never know. It is a one-off game. I have been part of a side that has beaten them before.
“We never turned up in the last final so we want to put that right. It would be good to give something back to the supporters this season.”
Logan says the thrilling 3-2 win against Hibs in last month’s semi-final is the highlight of his season so far, adding: “My son, Kaleb, was one of the mascots. That was a really special occasion for both of us and he loved every moment.
“He came to the League Cup final in November and was upset after the game so it was nice for him to go back to Hampden and have a happier memory.”
