Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon expects Aberdeen to put up more resistance at Hampden this weekend than when the sides met in the Betfred Cup final.
The Hoops eased to a 3-0 victory when the sides met for the first trophy of the season at Hampden in November and won 3-1 at Pittdorie the last time the sides met in the Premiership.
Derek McInnes’ Dons, by their own admission, failed to perform that day but the Pittodrie side have a chance to make amends when the teams go head-to-head with the Scottish Cup up for grabs.
Scotland international Gordon said: “Aberdeen are always a difficult side to beat.
“We have managed to do it a few times this season, but they always give us a hard game.
“Are they the toughest team we could have faced in the final? The league table would suggest so.
“We expect a difficult game if we are to get a third trophy, but we want to finish a great season with a win in the final.
“The team has been so strong throughout the season and we are always confident in our ability, whoever we are playing.”
