Jonny Hayes could be set to finalise his £1.3million transfer to Celtic within the next 48 hours, according to reports.
Aberdeen accepted an offer for the Republic of Ireland international last night that will see them secure a year-long loan of Ryan Christie as part of the deal.
Hayes is expected to return from holiday early to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical with the Parkhead club.
All going well, the deal is expected to be wrapped up by the weekend.
The 29-year-old had also been a target for Birmingham and Cardiff but the Dons were unable to reach an agreement with either of the English Championship sides.
Hayes bagged 11 goals for the Dons last term, including two against Celtic in the final month of the season, and won Player of the Year nominations.
He has made almost 200 appearances since joining the club from Caley Thistle in 2012.
