A David Templeton strike denied Aberdeen victory as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Hamilton Accies at New Douglas Park.
A Dougie Imrie free kick gave Accies a 19th-minute lead but Greg Stewart restored parity only nine minutes later.
Kari Arnason’s first goal of the season put the Dons in front after 74 minutes but Templeton levelled for Accies two minutes later with a long-range effort.
The result leaves the Dons three points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic.
The Dons made one change from the team that started last week’s 2-1 victory against Ross County with Gary Mackay-Steven replacing Scott Wright.
Hamilton ended a run of eight games without a win by beating struggling Dundee 3-1 last weekend.
Martin Canning’s men were without a win in their last five home games, while the Dons were unbeaten in their previous 10 away matches with nine victories.
But it was the hosts who broke the deadlock after 19 minutes when Imrie powered home a free kick from 20 yards after Scott McKenna had fouled David Templeton.
Accies almost doubled their lead moments later when a long ball over the top from Greg Docherty released Templeton but his attempted lob was well stopped by Joe Lewis.
The former Hearts and Rangers player passed up an even better chance soon after when he volleyed wide from another excellent Docherty delivery with only Lewis to beat.
The Accies paid for their profligacy in the 28th minute when Graeme Shinnie picked out Stewart with a smart pass and the on-loan Birmingham City player expertly chipped the ball over the advancing Gary Woods.
Shinnie almost chipped in with another assist six minutes later when his enticing cross fell perfectly for Shay Logan but the Dons full back fluffed his lines.
Hamilton still looked lively at the other end with Darian MacKinnon testing Lewis with a low drive before Antonio Rojano’s glancing header was easily saved.
Aberdeen began to assert more authority after the break with Kenny McLean’s powerful effort deflecting wide before Woods made a tremendous save to keep out Stewart’s header from an in-swinging Stevie May corner.
The Dons almost got caught on the counter-attack in the 62nd minute when Templeton drilled inches wide before Darren Lyon shot into the side-netting after rounding Lewis.
But it was the Dons who notched the next goal with Arnason heading home a tantalising corner from May in the 74th minute.
The lead lasted only two minutes with Templeton levelling for the hosts with a left-footed drive from 20 yards out that fizzed past Lewis.
