Aberdeen chairman Stewart Milne insists manager Derek McInnes’s future lies at Pittodrie.
The Dons boss has been linked with managerial positions at Rangers and at West Brom but Milne believes Aberdeen is in McInnes’ heart.
Milne said: “Derek made his position very clear to me last night. He has no intentions of going anywhere, he loves this club and knows he is loved and respected by everyone at the club.
“Anyone who was at the original predetermination hearing who heard Derek speak will know the passion he has for this club. It is a big part of his life and he firmly believes he has unfinished business here.”
McInnes turned down the chance to move to Championship club Sunderland in the summer before signing a new deal to keep him at Pittodrie until 2020 and Milne hopes McInnes’ desire to build a lasting legacy of success at Aberdeen will keep him at the club.
