Aberdeen winger Gary Mackay-Steven scored a hat-trick as the Dons ran riot against Hibernian at Pittodrie.
The Dons led 3-0 by half-time in a one-sided encounter as they swept a sorry Hibs team aside with the minimum of fuss in a 4-1 win.
Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes made two changes to the side which won 3-0 at St Johnstone on Wednesday with Kari Arnason missing out due to his wife going into labour and Greg Stewart dropping to the bench.
Andy Considine and Gary Mackay-Steven were the replacements as Dons captain Graeme Shinnie moved back into midfield following his shift at left back in Perth.
Mackay-Steven played a crucial role, setting up the opener before scoring a hat-trick.
The opener came in the 11th minute when Mackay-Steven found Graeme Shinnie in the box and the Dons captain beat Ofir Marciano with a low drive from 12 yards.
Hibs responded with a Brandon Barker shot which was comfortably held by Joe Lewis but the Dons doubled their lead in the 36th minute when Mackay-Steven collected a Considine ball on the edge of the box before a nutmeg took him past Darren McGregor and he fired past Marciano.
Mackay-Steven added his second of the game just before the break when he dispossessed Efe Ambrose 40 yards from goal before beating McGregor in a race towards goal and he coolly beat Marciano.
The winger was not finished yet and he saved his best for last, flicking the ball past Steven Whittaker before playing a one-two with Stevie May and drilling the ball past Marciano for his hat-trick.
Shinnie deflected an Anthony Stokes shot past Lewis in the final minute but it was the only blemish on an excellent display from the Dons.
