Aberdeen have expressed their satisfaction with the SPFL compensation tribunal’s decision on the sum they must pay Hamilton Accies for teenager Lewis Ferguson.
The midfielder moves to Pittodrie from New Douglas Park in the summer but the two clubs could not agree a fee for the 18-year-old.
The Dons offered £100,000 for the player while Accies rated the player at £1.25million and with no agreement made it was left to the SPFL to make a decision on the fee yesterday.
Dons’ football operations manager Steven Gunn made the club’s case at Hampden yesterday and while the figure has not been revealed it is clear Aberdeen are happy with the outcome.
A statement from the Dons read: “Following on from the compensation tribunal’s award decision this afternoon the club are satisfied with the outcome having received a fair hearing.
“he details of the tribunal and award are confidential and accordingly it is not our intention to make any further comment in relation to this matter.”
