Aberdeen's Sam Cosgrove scores to make it 1-0
A confident Cosgrove sealed yet another win for the Dons as their mid-season training camp in Dubai drew to a close.
Derek McInnes’ men won their friendly against local second-tier Emirati side Dibba Al-Hisn on Saturday.
The Reds cruised through the game comfortably while their part-time opponents, who travelled two hours from their base by Gulf of Oman, offered very little attack.
Aberdeen’s Gary Mackay-Steven (centre) in action.
The game marked the return to action from long term injury of winger Gary Mackay-Steven and centre-back Mark Reynolds.
As well as the continued goal scoring streak of Cosgrove, who hit a double.
The 22-year-old fired the Dons into a 39th minute lead before netting a second just five minutes into the second half, and even coming close to a hat-trick.
The victory certainly made the long trip to the Jebel Ali Centre of Excellence – located just outside the Dubai city centre – for around 100 Dons supporters worth it.
Aberdeen fans cheer on their team in Dubai
The squad now head home to the Granite City on the back of a comfortable win.
