Rumours have been speculating tonight that Dons defender Scott McKenna is off to Stoke.
The Championship side placed a £5 million bid yesterday that was rejected by Aberdeen.
It is now suggested that Stoke have increased their bid to £7 million to secure the Scotland international’s signature.
The Press and Journal understand that this is false information and that no fresh offer has been received by Aberdeen FC.
Aston Villa had a £6.5 million bid for the 22-year-old turned down on deadline day in August, while Celtic and Hull City have previously been linked with the central defender.
McKenna missed last night’s 4-1 Scottish Cup victory over Stenhousemuir after suffering a hamstring injury in Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Kilmarnock.
