Aberdeen reject defender Scott McKenna’s transfer request

Aberdeen central defender Scott McKenna has handed in a transfer request.
Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers have had bids of around £3million rejected for the 22-year-old ahead of the English transfer window closing on Thursday.
But the Dons have turned down the player’s transfer request and have insisted the defender will not be allowed to move unless the club’s valuation is met.
The club have previously valued the player at £10million, although it is understood an offer around £7million could be enough for the Dons to part company.
The Dons travel to Croatia on Wednesday to face HNK Rijeka in the third qualifying round of the Europa League and it is unclear if McKenna will be on the plane.
Aston Villa had a £6.5 million bid for the defender rejected last summer, while Hull City and Celtic have also had bids knocked back for the Scotland international.
McKenna, who is under contract until 2023, has started all five games for the Dons this season.
