Eoin Jess has become the latest former Aberdeen player to have a training pitch named after him at Cormack Park.
The Dons’ new £12 million training facilities open on Thursday and Jess joins Teddy Scott, Willie Miller and Neale Cooper in receiving the honour.
Jess scored 94 goals in 380 games for Aberdeen, across two separate spells with the club. He was part of the sides that won the League Cup in 1989 and 1995.
The Portsoy-born midfielder also turned out for Coventry City, Bradford City and Nottingham Forest, before finishing his career with Northampton Town in 2007.
The final two names to be attached to the training pitches will be announced ahead of the opening of the complex at Kingsford on Thursday. Legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson will be in attendance.
