Aberdeen’s all-time leading goalscorer Joe Harper has become the latest former Don to be given the honour of having a training pitch at the club’s new training campus named after him.
Harper, who scored 205 goals in 300 appearances for the Dons across two spells, joins Teddy Scott, Willie Miller, Neale Cooper and Eoin Jess in having a pitch at Cormack Park named after him.
The man known as the King of the Beach End, won every domestic honour in his two spells at Pittodrie, lifting the Scottish Cup in 1970 in his first spell before clinching the League Cup in 1976 and the Premier League title in 1980 in his second stint with the Dons.
Cormack Park will be officially opened on Thursday with the final pitch name set to be revealed tomorrow.
