Aberdeen moved up to third place in the Scottish Premiership as they came from behind to beat Ross County 3-1 at Victoria Park.
Trailing to a Josh Mullin penalty, goals from Niall McGinn, Ryan Hedges and Andy Considine gave the Dons their third win in a row and took them above Motherwell in the league.
Ross County co-managers Stuart Kettlewell and Steven Ferguson made five changes to the side which drew 2-2 at Hamilton with Billy Mackay, Ross Stewart, Richard Foster and Keith Watson dropping to the bench while Ross Draper missed out due to injury.
The five players coming into the side were Callum Morris, Josh Mullin, Ewan Henderson, Brian Graham and Sean Kelly.
Dons boss Derek McInnes made two changes from the 3-0 win against Kilmarnock with Zak Vyner absent due to a shoulder injury while Curtis Main dropped to the bench.
Craig Bryson replaced Vyner in midfield with Andy Considine returning from illness at left back.
Ross County made a dream start as they opened the scoring in the fifth minute.
The goal came from the penalty spot, awarded after Lewis Ferguson was deemed to have blocked Michael Gardyne’s cross with his arm and Josh Mullin made no mistake from the spot, sending Dons captain Joe Lewis the wrong way to give County the lead.
Aberdeen hit back within five minutes when they were awarded a free kick after Liam Fontaine handled a cross.
From the resulting 22 yard free kick, Niall McGinn curled the ball over the wall past Ross Laidlaw to make it 1-1.
The remainder of the first half saw Aberdeen dominate possession but fail to make it count as the Staggies defence stood firm.
But the fine defensive work of the home side was not replicated at the start of the second as the Dons took the lead from a Ryan Hedges free kick. The Wales international’s delivery was missed by everyone in the box before bouncing down and past the stranded Laidlaw in the County goal.
The Staggies responded with a Sean Kelly shot which Lewis saved but Aberdeen put the game beyond the home side in the 70th minute.
The Dons appealed for a penalty when Cosgrove went down under a challenge in a crowded penalty area but with the home defence failing to clear Andy Considine won the ball before beating Laidlaw with a fine rising shot from 16 yards.
