Aberdeen have confirmed defender Zak Vyner has returned to parent club Bristol City.
Vyner suffered a shoulder injury in the game against Hearts at the end of December, which was likely to see him miss significant game-time.
Robins boss Lee Johnson said yesterday that Vyner’s time in the Granite City would be cut short, as there was still uncertainty over whether his shoulder required surgery.
The Dons have added Dylan McGeouch, Matty Kennedy and Mark Gallagher this window, while Stephen Gleeson and James Wilson may depart the club on deadline day.
Wilson, who signed last summer after a loan spell with the club, has made 16 appearances but mainly from the bench and could be heading to Salford City.
Gleeson has battled a knee injury for most of the season but has been knocked down the pecking order by the additions of Funso Ojo and now McGeouch.
