Aberdeen’s Europa League opponents Daugava Riga have been dealt a major blow ahead of next week’s first round qualifier at Pittodrie.
The Latvians look set to be without first choice goalkeeper Janis Krumins after he was stretchered off in Wednesday’s 5-1 defeat by rivals Skonta.
Latvia under-21 international Krumins was hurt in a collision with Skonta midfielder Edgars Jermolajevs during the first half when Daugava were 1-0 down.
Substitute Robert Ozuls, 18, who went on to concede four more, is now likely to be in goals for the Latvians in Thursday’s match.
