Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has high hopes for 16-year-old attacking midfielder Scott Wright.
The Scotland under-17 international made his competitive debut for the Dons in last night’s 5-0 win against Daugava Riga in a one-sided Europa League first round qualifier.
Wright was a late substitute for Barry Robson but impressed manager McInnes during his short time on the pitch.
McInnes said: “He is a good player. We thought long and hard about who to put on the bench.
“We felt that later on in the game with them being camped in Scott could maybe create something for us in the wide areas and he certainly did that on three or four occasions.
“He is a real talent and someone who we think can play his part.”
