Aberdeen have made their fifth signing of the summer in Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Jeffrey Monakana.
The 20-year-old former Arsenal and Preston North end attacking midfielder becomes the Dons fifth signing of the new season and has joined the club on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion until January.
Dons manager Derek McInnes said: “Jeffrey is a player we have been aware of for some time and will offer additional competition in the wide areas, where he brings real pace.”
Monakana, who has been allocated squad number 7, joins permanent signings Shaleum Logan, Ashton Taylor, David Goodwillie and Scott Brown in the Pittodrie squad for the current season.
He is ineligible for this week’s Europa League qualifier against Groningen in The Netherlands on Thursday but can play against Real Sociedad in next week’s third qualifying round if the Dons progress.
