Aberdeen returned to winning ways this afternoon at Dens Park and shortly after the match Twitter erupted with Dons fans praising their team and one player in particular.
David Goodwillie’s career seemed to be flagging when he moved to Blackburn Rovers and struggled to break into the first team, however, he has got his career back on track at Pittodrie and his recent performances have certainly won the hearts of the Dons support.
Goodwillie has been in sparkling form since Derek McInnes changed his tactics and started employing the former Dundee United man as part of a two man strikeforce alongside Adam Rooney and, after today’s match, Dons fans flocked to Twitter to praise the striker.

However, Dons supporters were happy to admit they were not 100% convinced by his signing originally.
Never that happy with the goodwillie signing but he is starting to look like a great signing him and Rooney doing well playing 2 up top

Derek signed goodwillie and 99% of us doubted it, how that guy has shown us why we should believe, 100% effort every game!

Made hard work o' that! Logan outstanding, taylor had an absolute shocker. Goodwillie showing he's worth it. #COYR

Far from a footballing spectacle but a good battle nonetheless. Terrific Goodwillie header to win it. We miss Anderson's composure. 3 pts!

In fact, he’s been so good the Dons fans would also like to see his one year deal extended…
2nd top scorers in the league. Goodwillie 3 goals 3 headers. Sign him up. Time to drop Langfield and Taylor. Brown and Anderson to step in

Goodwillie keeps up this form for another month, then let's get talking about a 2 year deal. Been superb as of late.
