Aberdeen’s leading scorer Adam Rooney is one of four players who have committed their future to the club.
Rooney, who has scored 17 goals for the club ,has signed a new three and a half year extension which will keep him at Pittodrie until the summer of 2018.
The Dubliner is joined in committing his future to the club by Northern Ireland international Niall McGinn and under-20 players Lawrence Shankland and Scott McKenna who have all signed new contracts to keep them at the club until the summer of 2017.
Manager Derek McInnes said: “Adam and Niall are key players within the team while both Lawrence and Scott have the potential to develop into first team regulars in the not too distant future.
“I’ve always said that, while we’ve enjoyed a fruitful 2014, there is still a great deal of work to be done and securing players, who we want to be part of our journey, is vital if we want to achieve the success that everyone at the club craves.”
