Aberdeen defender David Bates is on the brink of moving to Legia Warsaw.
The 25-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Pittodrie following the arrival of defenders Anthony Stewart and Liam Scales.
It is understood Bates is moving for an initial £200,000 fee while a sell-on clause has also been agreed.
Bates joined Aberdeen in August 2021 from Hamburg following loan spells at Sheffield Wednesday and Cercle Brugge.
The former Raith Rovers and Rangers player is under contract with Aberdeen until 2024. He has scored two goals in 34 appearances for the Dons.
The player has travelled to Poland to complete a medical.
Legia competed in the group stages of the Europa League last season but went on to finish in 10th spot in the Polish top flight.
The Dons have signed nine players this summer, including the arrival of winger Cal Roberts and defender Hayden Coulson earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Dons defender Kieran Ngwenya has been linked with a loan move to Championship side Raith Rovers.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell at Kelty Hearts last season, helping them win the League Two title.
Raith start the campaign with a trip to Cove Rangers on Saturday.
