Goal hero Ylber Ramadani insists he is playing the best football of his career since signing for Aberdeen.
And the Albanian international is confident his best is yet to come for the Dons.
A £100,000 summer signing from Hungarian club MTK Bundapest, the midfielder netted his first goal for the Dons in a 4-1 victory against Hibs.
Albanian international Ramadani hopes it is the first of many goals for Aberdeen.
Scoring meant so much to the midfielder he sprinted to celebrate with the supporters in the Red Shed after netting.
Ramadani is “loving it at Aberdeen” and believes he has forged a strong bond with the fans.
The midfielder’s goal helped secure a valuable win that leapfrogged Aberdeen above Hibs to third in the Premiership table.
He said: “I am playing the best football of my career here so far.
“The manager has confidence in me, I know he rates me.
“I’m loving it here. I am the type of player who wants more from himself in every game.
“I try to improve all the time and I know how big this club is.”
The first of many goals for Aberdeen
Ramadani netted Aberdeen’s third goal when firing in a volley from 15 yards against Hibs.
He was so overjoyed he jumped over the advertising hoardings to celebrate with the fans in the Red Shed.
Ramadani said he wanted to enjoy the moment with the supporters.
The 26-year-old was booked for the celebration.
He said: “I’m so happy to have scored my first goal for Aberdeen but I am more pleased that we won the game.
“We needed to bounce back from the Rangers game.
“But I hope there are many more goals to come from me.
“It was a good strike and when I saw it was coming I said to myself that I had to hit the target and thankfully it went in.
“It was a relief for me as the fans have been waiting for me to score and when it went in I was so happy.
“That’s why I ran over to them to enjoy the moment with them.”
‘The fans seem to like me and I feel the same about them’
Ramadani was signed on a three year deal from MTK Budapest.
He quickly became a fans’ favourite with the Red Army.
The feeling is mutual.
He said: “The fans seem to like me and I feel the same about them.
“The players and the fans, we are all in it together and that’s the most important thing for us.”
Aberdeen also raided MTK Budapest to sign striker Bojan Miovski in a £535,000 transfer in the summer.
North Macedonian international Miovski bagged a double against Hibs to take his tally for the season to 11 goals.
At 0-0 Miovski had a penalty saved by keeper David Marshall in first half injury time.
However, following a VAR decision, a retake was awarded as Marshall was deemed to have come off his line before Miovski hit the ball.
Ramadani revealed he gave his former MTK team-mate some advice for the retake.
He said: “Bojan is playing with a lot of confidence which is good to see.
“When he missed the first penalty I went over to speak to him.
“I told him he knew what he had to do with the second one.
“I just felt he needed someone to say something to him.
“I told him to just do it and he said he would so I was glad when he scored.”
Ramadani targets third placed finish
Aberdeen moved two points clear of Hibs and hold a game in hand on the Easter Road club.
The Reds continued their impressive form at Pittodrie having won five of six home league games.
Aberdeen have scored 30 goals at home in nine games in all competitions this season.
Ramadani said: “Our aim is to finish third this season and we have to keep going in every game to try to stay there.
“If we want to take something at the end of the season we need to keep winning.
