The fear factor has returned for teams visiting Pittodrie, insists Aberdeen defender Ross McCrorie.
Aberdeen secured a ninth win from 10 home games in all competitions this season when overcoming Dundee United 1-0.
The Dons’ New Firm derby win secured a fifth straight home league victory for the first time since April 2017.
Striker Bojan Miovski netted the winning goal from the penalty spot to take his scoring tally to 12 for the season.
Now joint top scorer in the Premiership, Miovki is reportedly a January signing target for French Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims.
It was a win that ensured the Reds go into the five week Premiership winter break holding third place.
McCrorie, 24, said: “A lot of teams will fear coming up here.
“Our home form has been great this season.
“That’s down to the hard work we put in on the training pitch and the way the gaffer sets us out as a team.
“We like to put on a show for the fans and the attacking style of play is great.
“You also saw against Dundee United we got a clean sheet and defended from the frontline and all the way through.”
McCrorie hails support of Red Army
A bumper crowd of 17,035 packed out Pittodrie for the 6pm Saturday kick-off to cheer the Dons before the shut down for the World Cup.
Aberdeen go into the winter break in third spot, two points ahead of fourth placed Livingston.
McCrorie hailed the backing of the Red Army.
He said “The backing of the fans has been tremendous.
“They were out in their thousands again.”
Payback for heavy Tannadice loss
North Macedonian international striker Miovski netted the winning goal when converting a first-half penalty.
Dundee United are rock bottom of the Premiership but inflicted a humiliating 4-0 defeat on Aberdeen on October 6.
McCrorie insists the Pittodrie victory was payback for that heavy loss at Tannadice.
McCrorie said: “We owed them one.
“That time at Tannadice wasn’t good enough.
“Even after midweek, getting the defeat (2-1 at Livingston), we bounced back again.
“It’s a good feeling going into the break now.
“The second half was a bit scrappy.
“Dundee United are a good team, who came at us.
“But I thought we defended very well and the clean sheet was well deserved.
“At the end of the day it’s points that matter.
“I thought we were excellent in the first half and had plenty of chances.”
Aberdeen jet to USA in third spot
Aberdeen will jet to the United States for a week-long training camp in Atlanta.
They will play a friendly against an Atlanta United XI on Wednesday kicking off at 3pm local time (8pm UK time).
Aberdeen return to action with a home clash against league leaders Celtic on Saturday December 17.
They then host second placed Rangers at Pittodrie in their next match on Tuesday December 20.

McCrorie said: “We have got a semi-final (against Rangers) to look forward to as well in January.
“When we come back, we’ve got two games against the Old Firm, so there are a lot of big games coming up.
“A lot of things can happen in the second half of the season and we’re looking forward to it.”
