Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is fourth favourite with bookmakers for the vacant managerial job at West Bromwich Albion.
The Barclays Premier League club avoided relegation from English football’s top tier last week but that has not stopped them from dismissing manager Pepe Mel after just six months in charge.
Dons manager McInnes, who captained the Baggies to promotion to the Premier League when he played at the Hawthorns, signed a new two year contract with Aberdeen in March but that has not stopped him being linked with a return to England.
He was linked with the post before Mel was appointed and his name has once again been linked with his former club.
Former Norwich City and Newcastle manager Chris Hughton is favourite for the post, followed by Malky Mackay and Tim Sherwood, with McInnes quoted at 8-1 today.
