Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has been named Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership manager of the month for September.
The award is in recognition of the Dons’ three wins and one defeat last month; a run which took the club top of the table.
The sequence of results helped the Dons put together a club record eight league wins in a row to start the season.
The honour makes it back to back wins for McInnes, who was also named manager of the month for August and caps a fine month for the club with midfielder Niall McGinn collecting the player award for last month on Tuesday.
The Dons manager said: “I’m surprised to get the award. I learned of this last week and it’s a nice honour but it is a reflection of the efforts of everyone here in the start we’ve made to the season.”
