An Aberdeen fan has been honoured for his creativity and dedication to the Dons with an award from his fellow supporters.
Dons mad Stephen McCormick has organised a series of colourful pre-match displays at Pittodrie in recent seasons as well as a stunning effort for the 2014 League Cup final at Hampden.
The Dons Supporters Trust have now recognised Stephen’s hard work by presenting him with a D.O.N.S (Distinction of Notable Service) award at the Trust’s first fan zone event.
Kevin Mackenzie, Dons Supporters Trust secretary, was delighted with how the celebratory evening at the city’s Blue Lamp went and said: “The event was a huge success and well attended. We will be hosting more similar events in the future.”
Stephen joins an impressive list of D.O.N.S award recipients including Willie Miller, Joe Harper, Teddy Scott, Norman Goldie, Neil Simpson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Brian Irvine, Ally Shewan and the Gothenburg Greats.
